Rutgers in Asia is starting today to post through our new comprehensive social media platform the profile of an alumnus every Friday. The first one is our friend and colleague: Cindy L. Jensen (Beijing 2009).

Cindy is the founder and Managing Director of BOLDMOVES CHINA, a boutique consulting firm offering executive coaching, advisory services and leadership programs for senior managers and leaders working in a global setting.

Her consultancy also includes working with small to mid-size companies developing organizational performance management and competency frameworks. Cindy has extensive experience working with and advising some of the largest MNCs from North America, Europe and Asia. While in Canada she spent ten years with Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo in a number of senior management positions from HR to Operations and Marketing.

Cindy arrived in Beijing with her family ten years ago from Vancouver, Canada. The attraction that brought them to China remains and she suspects they will be based here for many years to come.

Apart from her work, she is also involved in a number of non-profit organizations including VIVA, Educating Girls in Rural China and serves on the Board of the Canada China Business Council as a Special Advisor. Throughout her career Cindy has been an avid mentor with a focus on working with young professional women.

It was recently announced that Cindy has been nominated as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the upcoming Fourth Annual Women in Business Leadership China Awards ‘Faces of Leadership’.
